Due to completing our music video, the master shot still needed to be filmed. This shot will be used to fill the gap of the chorus, however using a variety of different shots to make our video more interesting. Originally, we decided that we would film the footage in the main school hall, to provide a long sheltered walkway for Amelia to walk down with cards falling over her. Eventually, sitting down on scattered cards to place the top hat on her head. However, when it came down to filming, the hall was in use for exams and Christmas fare, which meant that we could not use the hall at all, even though we had booked it previous. In need of filming, I felt that we didn't have time to wait for after the weekend and the school play rehearsals, so I decided to look else where.
Eventually, I decided to film in the courtyard with the roses. I felt that this had connotations and similarities to the original Alice in Wonderland. Using the large cards that I used for the digipack photo shot, I felt that this would provide a more 'fairytale' like surrounding if we scattered the cards in the bushes and along the walk ways. Due to filming after school, the light had got dim which gave the surroundings a naturally darker light (which is perfect for our theme of the video) but with the side lights, lighting up the area. The brick work with the rose bushes created a more realistic appearance for our narrative music video.
I varied the shots and angles to make the footage more interesting, so that once it was edited it would create a less boring video for the audience. I feel that overall, the footage that was filmed was a success, with the angles and shots making it more interesting for the viewer.

Change of location for scene
To prevent the music video looking tacky, I have thought about the scenes that I created to make the theme of Alice and Wonderland. However, one of the scenes, I felt would not go to plan and therefore not give the same effect that I would hope it would. Taking this into consideration, I felt that replacing one of the scenes with another idea would in fact be better to show the theme that is trying to be protrayed without making it tacky.
The scene that I felt needed to be replaced was the 'corridor' sence. Orgnially, Alice was going to be filmed in a dark corridor with faceless people walking past. With this, I have decided to change this scene to Amelia walking through, what seems like, walking through a corridor of trees.
The reason why I chose this instead, is that due to the season, the leaves are yellows and red, which give colour to our video. Another reason is that, this provides movement from Amelia. As the actress will walk to and from the camera, allowing movement for the viewers.
Today, I viewed the surroundings of where I felt we could film this scene, which altogether is perfect for the overal image of the scence.

Progress on Filming - Opening Scene
Today, sean and I filmed the scene that begins the music video, where the actress is singing by a large tree. The reason why I chose this as one of our scenes, is due to the symbolic approach to Alice and Wonderland with the iconic rabbit down the rabbit hole.
We gathered many shots of different angles to make the scene more intresting for the viewer. During filming, we mainly left the camera rolling whilest we got different positions for Amelia (actress) and different angles of the cameras. This way it was easier to cut out the unwanted scenes.
Overall, looking back on the filming today, I am not so sure that I decided upon the right scene to portray the Alice and Wonderland theme. However, checking the footage tomorrow, I will then make a final descion to see wether the scene will fit into the video and still make the theme convincing.

Filming Progress
On Monday, we filmed as a group the second major scene that is needed for our music video. I bought some wall paper that I thought looked like it belonged to a dolls house and bought in my dolls house. With this, I took out the three floors so that our actress could fit inside the house. After removing the floors, i pinned up the wall paper inside the dolls house.
For the first shot, we took the house outside before it got too dark, so therefore we could film the house with natural surroundings rather than a classroom. We took a couple of takes for each shot, so therefore we had a variety of scenes that we could chose from.
After we took these shots, we then moved the dolls house inside for the close up shots that we felt would be easier to film inside. We varied the shots with the compositons, which worked really well. Due to filming inside, we filmed in a class room, however there was media posters in the background that made the scene seem out of place. Because of this, i pinned up some wall paper that i had made previous. The reason why I made wallpaper as i originally planned on not using a dolls house and using the wall paper instead.

Overall, i am happy with the outcome for this filming session. I feel that the composition and angles that were used creates more intrest for the viewer.
